Spill the Tea in Therapy

We understand that therapy can sometimes feel intimidating, but here, it’s like catching up with a trusted friend. Imagine this: a real, down-to-earth person sitting beside you, guiding you through whatever's weighing on your mind. You might hear a friendly “Y’all” now and then, as we share a bit about growing up in Florida, but most importantly, you'll find a calm presence and a dedicated expert committed to your healing journey.

Connection is at the heart of what we do. We are approachable, authentic, and anything but stiff. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and relaxed our sessions feel, with a straightforward, no-nonsense approach. You might even find yourself looking forward to your therapy sessions!

The Value of Talking It Out
Transformation

Therapy is unique among health treatments in that it isn’t something that is "done" to you. Instead, the effectiveness of therapy largely depends on your active participation and commitment to practicing the skills you learn beyond our sessions. It’s important to recognize that reflecting on past experiences and confronting the emotions tied to them may stir up intense feelings, such as anger, sadness, anxiety, grief, or shame.

Yet, in order to heal, we must first allow ourselves to fully feel the pain we carry. While I can’t guarantee that all the challenges that brought you to therapy will be resolved, I can promise to be here with you—to offer support, do my best to understand you, and help you understand yourself. Together, we will work to identify patterns, clarify your goals, and move toward them with intention.

Therapy can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, including your values, needs, and desires, while also equipping you with tools to manage anxiety, grief, and depression. It fosters the development of healthy boundaries and effective communication skills, enhances your ability to recognize relationship patterns, and builds interpersonal effectiveness. Additionally, therapy supports better decision-making, problem-solving, and coping strategies for managing distress, ultimately boosting self-compassion and self-confidence.

Additional Resources to Support Your Mental Health

We strive to provide our clients with the best mental health resources possible. However, we understand that everyone's needs are unique. If you haven't found what you're looking for, please consider these additional resources to support your mental health.

Ask your employer if you/they have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees often have free access to a certain number of counseling sessions, and it is confidential who has access to the EAP service. Learn more about EAP here

If you're a college or graduate student, you likely have access to counseling for free through your school's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). CAPS offers counseling and therapy to help students manage, cope, and grow with the stress associated with school and life
