Independent Educational Evaluation

Suppose you're dissatisfied or disagree with your child's school evaluation. In that case, you have the legal right to request a "second opinion" evaluation from someone outside of your school district, and you're entitled to do so at no cost to you. This process allows for an independent assessment of your child's needs and capabilities, potentially providing a different perspective or additional insights that may not have been addressed in the initial evaluation. Understanding and asserting your rights in advocating for your child's educational needs is essential, ensuring they receive the appropriate support and services to thrive in their academic journey.
